Antique Brillie French Double Sided Kitchen Clock

An original French factory clock manufactured by Brillie. Each clock has a hinged glass front secured by clasp fitting which enables access to modify the time and change the battery. The pair of clocks have been converted to quartz battery mechanisms, retaining their original glass and hands. There are a pair of hanging eyelets and chain to enable hanging of the clock. The clocks steel casing retains its original grey coloured factory paint.

The Brillié company, founded in 1897, developed the electric clock into a commercial product; providing clocks to the Paris Observatory and other national companies.

Workshop Report: The workshop team inspect all products and perform any necessary repairs to ensure many more years of future use, with clocks we dismantle and clean the clock and professionally remove all existing electrical components and fit new battery quartz mechanism. This clock requires a AA battery for use (not provided) The clock has some scuffs and scratches and some surface rust in places to the paint finish, there are some scuff markings to the face in places.

As with all our products, this product is an original vintage item so there can be exterior signs of wear in places.
