Antique Wooden Merchants Campaign Chest Blanket Box

A good sized antique pine painted chest most likely formerly used as a merchant or officer’s trunk. It has retained its original metal handles and side supports. There is a No. 3 painted onto each end which would have been used for identification.
It has its original lock but no key.

Workshop Report: Overall antique condition, structurally sound, some historical imperfections in places which add to the character. Slight minor historical damage to the wood at the back of one corner of the chest – see photo.
As with all our products, this product is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use.
